Your gift and participation have an impact on our students and teachers because

• Students need a solid, balanced, and continually evolving curriculum.
• Teachers thrive—and students benefit—with expanding professional development opportunities.
• Nearly 10 percent of our operating budget relies on fundraising and development dollars.
• Renovated and improved learning spaces support academic excellence, health, and safety.
• Increasing the diversity of our student population enriches the learning environment for all.
• Our goal this year is 100 percent participation from our school community, in an effort to raise $190,000.

Ways to Give

On October 13, you will receive your personal letter and pledge card asking for your support. Please give generously—every gift is an investment in Meridian’s mission and values, which benefits our students, teachers, and school community.

There are several ways to give a gift to The Meridian School. Choose the method that best matches your giving ability.

Gifts by Check
Writing a personal check is a simple way to make a gift. Checks should be made out to The Meridian School.

Gifts by Credit Card
You may charge your annual gift to a VISA or MasterCard account. Pledges may be paid in monthly installments through June 30, 2010.

Matching gifts multiply your generosity
Many employers match gifts to nonprofit organizations like Meridian. Please contact your human resource office for more information.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock
A gift of appreciated marketable securities is an attractive method of giving because of the substantial tax advantages. Your broker may electronically transfer ownership of the stock to Meridian School’s account at Charles Schwab (see account information below).

Important: Please notify, or have your broker notify, Director of Development Marilyn Easton at (206) 632-7154 x13, when you initiate an electronic transfer for donation of stock. Please give your broker the following information:
