Ways to VolunteerChildren make new friends at Meridian and so do families. Enthusiastic parents and alumni are integral components of the school’s strength. Classroom Committee Member Parent Association Some Volunteer Opportunities Auction Why Philanthropy MattersWe joined Meridian so that our children could experience learning in a truly balanced setting that offers great academics in the context of a caring and involved community. We found that our support, in many ways, was necessary to maintain the day-to-day program that our kids love and ensure that other children, current and future, would also benefit from the Meridian experience. We are loyal supporters of Annual Giving and place Meridian among our highest charitable giving priorities. I support Meridian because it is an investment in our future generations of leaders and civic-minded citizens. When I read the alumni newsletter I am proud of what our students have accomplished and continue to accomplish. I will always support Meridian because the payback is so great. Our family donates to Annual Giving as a way of ensuring the vitality of a community we hold dear. Meridian offers an education that nurtures children’s skills in becoming both independent and interdependent. The muscles that students exercise in the classroom on their individual and group projects, doing community service, and in the playground and on the playing field let them build a mind and soul for the benefit of themselves and the community. Our family considers these to be the most critical of life skills. The balance between mind and heart is a community value worth sustaining. |
