Austin Marsh

-B.A. in Liberal Studies from Alaska Pacific University
-Pursuing M.A. in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University
-With The Meridian School since 2013

Austin is originally from Alaska, where he began his career in education as a volunteer teacher of adult ESL classes, and substitute in K-12 schools. In Washington, he has coordinated after-school programs for Sylvester Middle School in Burien, and in 2013 he joined the Meridian community as a member of our Summer Quest program. In five years he has also served the extended day program, and as a student aide. In addition to returning for a third year as Meridian’ First Grade Associate Faculty, Austin is currently enrolled in Seattle Pacific University’s Master in Teaching program. Austin values creativity and compassion and believes they are essential components of learning environments. He is a clay artist, a soccer player, and a lover of wild places and outdoor recreation.
