Kelly joined the Meridian community in 2018. Previous to teaching, Kelly began her seven years in social work as a case manager and advocate for homeless youth and families in both Seattle and Spokane. After receiving her masters at Gonzaga University, Kelly was hired by Spokane Public Schools and taught a third and fourth grade looping class for three years. She joined Meridian as a second grade teacher in 2018. She has received signiﬁcant training in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Responsive Classroom and has continues to implement positive growth strategies in her classroom to foster individual success. She takes pride in developing curriculum to meet individual student needs. Outside of school, Kelly loves exploring the Paciﬁc Northwest and spending time with her extended family.
