Spring is thrilled to begin her third year at the Meridian School! Prior to joining Meridian, Spring spent time in different K-2 classrooms and special education positions in Austin, Texas. She began her career in the New York City Department of Education, after leaving a career in the theater industry. She has received training in Responsive Classroom, Restorative Practices, Bridges in Mathematics, Writer’s and Reader’s Workshops, and Social-Emotional Learning. Spring loves finding ways to integrate the arts into all aspects of her classroom, and is a former National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar. She is keenly interested in the social and emotional development of children, and sees the primary years as some of the most important! She values kindness above all else, and strives to make her classroom community a space where everyone feels respected and heard. In her spare time, Spring enjoys traveling, good food, and hanging out with friends, her husband, Kris, and their cat and dog.
