A native of the northwest since her youth, Julianne has lived in Seattle since her sophomore year of college at UW. After graduating with a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Washington, Julianne did what any self-respecting poet would do – relied on her years of office internships and work-study jobs to get employed! From the late 90s until joining Meridian in 2023 (minus a break to start and raise a family), Julianne had worked primarily in the corporate sector doing marketing, sales, and customer account management. As an active and involved parent of two kiddos (now in high school), Julianne volunteered as a troop leader when her youngest joined up with Girl Scouts and discovered joy and a knack for creating and leading fun and empowering programs for young people. Julianne’s enjoyment from collaborating with youth and their families ultimately led to her finding a role supporting the thriving hub-bub known as The Meridian School Main Office. In her spare time, Julianne loves to read, write, walk her doggo, do artsy-craftsy things, and spend time laughing with her husband and two teens.
