Over the years, Peter has worked as a Kindergarten teacher, school counselor, and Head of School, always with a focus on supporting the growth and development of students, school staff, and families. Peter has a B.A. in Studio Art from Kenyon College, an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Lesley College, and an M.Ed. in School Counseling/Psychology from the University of Washington. His work in schools is based on a core belief in the power of children and the possibilities of childhood. A vibrant partnership between families and schools sets the stage for children to grow, build relationships, play, and learn in a safe, joyful environment. Peter brings a strong commitment to fostering this partnership to his work at Meridian.
Outside of school work, Peter is an avid swimmer, spending half the year in Lake Washington and half the year in a pool.
