The Family Association (F.A.) promotes family involvement in the school community by supporting faculty and staff along with organizing school activities and programs.
The Family Association (F.A.) facilitates communication among family, faculty and staff, and school administrators to explore topics of mutual interest, sponsors speakers on educational and parenting topics, and provides volunteer support for fundraising and social activities.
Family Association Events and Activities
The F.A. sponsors many family-focused community-building events at Meridian such as the Welcome Coffee, Fall Festival, Meridian on Ice, and movie night in the gym. The F.A. also supports school activities such as community service, and coordinates Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week in May.
Family Association Executive Committee (FAEC)
The FAEC meets monthly to plan F.A. events and activities and monitor the F.A. budget. The FAEC is composed of a president, vice president, treasurer, communications coordinator, F.A. events coordinator, F.A. volunteer recruiter, community-building team leader, and faculty and staff appreciation lead.
Volunteering as a grade representative is a great way to be directly involved with your child’s Meridian experience. This volunteer acts as a liaison between your child’s grade and the FAEC. Some of these duties include:
