Kelsey began her teaching career in the Mississippi Delta, teaching high school biology. In 2011, she moved to St. Louis, MO, and worked with teen programs at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Her work there focused on getting students outdoors and learning about ecology, ecosystems, urban gardening, and environmental leadership. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Truman State University and an M.A. in Education for Global Sustainability from Webster University. Looking to expand her knowledge of elementary education, she came to The Meridian School in 2014 as a program intern. She has worked in all grade-level classrooms and with the customized learning program, and she has developed strong relationships with the faculty, staff, and students. Kelsey has found her dream job in the creativity lab specialist position, exploring ways to create with students to develop a strong sense of wonder, enjoyment of S.T.E.A.M., and the critical thinking skills that shape our future global citizens.
