Mark has been an artisan and craftsman his entire life, working professionally in sign painting, cabinetry, woodworking, and stained glass, all the while pursuing his passion for painting. He has a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the University of New Mexico. He also has a passion for the Good Shepherd Center, having worked in the building from 1989 to 2011, occupying, for the last twelve of those years, the position of building and facilities manager. He was thrilled to return to the place that he loves in a different capacity, managing facilities and maintenance for The Meridian School. He worked part-time for two years as a contractor and was delighted to join the permanent staff in 2019. Mark is retiring this year and passing off the Director of Facilities torch to Dashiell Morgan, and Meridian is happy to have Mark with us this school year as a journeyman. Mark is an avid bicyclist, and he and his wife are very active in Seattle’s dynamic social dance scene.
