Carlie holds an M.Ed. degree in Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah and joined Meridian in 2024 after moving to Seattle from Salt Lake City. Carlie has experience in grades 1-3 and is happy to be back in second grade, the first grade she ever taught back in 2018! Carlie has a passion for social justice and inclusion in education and enjoys creating a welcoming space where all students feel a sense of belonging. In her free time, she enjoys stand up paddle boarding, playing the piano and trumpet, reading, and spending quality time with her partner, Andy, and their two cats, Alex and Abby.
