Prior to joining the Meridian community, Aviona supported families with children in the juvenile system as a therapist. She has collaborated with school counselors working in elementary, middle, and high school settings. In Michigan, Aviona worked in private schools as an associate teacher, extended day leader, and substitute faculty for three years. Aviona is one of nine children and is the third oldest. She is very passionate about justice and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard. She loves traveling, swimming, laughing, and arts and crafts.
Meridian is an independent school in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood serving 200 students in grades K-5. We are located in the historic Good Shepherd Center, a community building housing several nonprofit organizations, which lies adjacent to 6.5-acre Meridian Park.
