Bernardita Mendieta
- B.A. from Goddard College in child development and early childhood education
- M.A. in dual language early childhood education studies in intercultural education and culturally responsive teaching

Bernardita comes to Meridian with over 20+ years of experience in grades pre-K–8 as a pre-K and early learner teacher, support provider, and student-family care provider. Currently teaching Spanish to eighth-grade students, Bernardita is the recipient of Meridian’s BIPOC Future Educators Fellowship in partnership with the University of Washington, which encourages people of color to become Washington state-credentialed teachers. Bernardita is excited to share her love of learning and to support Meridian students.

Meridian is an independent school in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood serving 200 students in grades K-5. We are located in the historic Good Shepherd Center, a community building housing several nonprofit organizations, which lies adjacent to 6.5-acre Meridian Park.
