Ms. Bibi (aka Bibiana) Powell has been an educator for over 20 years, including 16 years at Seattle Jewish Community School as Art Specialist and Teaching Assistant. Being part of a community of learners is what brings joy and fulfillment to her life, and Meridian is a wonderful place to be. She believes students learn best when they feel seen and heard and are agents of their own learning experiences. In her spare time, Ms. Bibi is a passionate wildlife gardener, an avid hiker, and an artist who enjoys exploring many media (currently focused on ceramics).

Meridian is an independent school in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood serving 200 students in grades K-5. We are located in the historic Good Shepherd Center, a community building housing several nonprofit organizations, which lies adjacent to 6.5-acre Meridian Park.
