Danielle Hellems

Danielle is originally from Michigan, where she first became interested in education while tutoring and mentoring elementary and high school students as the coordinator of an after-school program. In Washington she worked for Vancouver Public Schools for two years with AmeriCorps VISTA before joining the Meridian community in June of 2019 as a Summer Quest group leader. She has also served the community as Extended Day staff, educational intern, and third grade associate. Danielle is passionate about nurturing the unique talents and abilities of students through developing meaningful relationships. Outside of school, Danielle enjoys traveling, reading, craft projects, and road trips to national parks.

Meridian is an independent school in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood serving 200 students in grades K-5. We are located in the historic Good Shepherd Center, a community building housing several nonprofit organizations, which lies adjacent to 6.5-acre Meridian Park.
