Elizabeth has been an educator for the past 17 years. Her love of teaching and working with children has taken her all over the world. Elizabeth started teaching in Seattle independent schools, but has spent the majority of her career teaching overseas in international schools. She taught kindergarten and first and second grade in Shanghai and Hong Kong and spent 6 years as a curriculum coordinator both in Tokyo and in Switzerland, where she worked with teachers to start and implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. Elizabeth has extensive experience with developing curriculum, coaching and supporting teachers and with inquiry-based education. One of the favorite parts of her job is mentoring and collaborating with teachers. Elizabeth is also a workshop leader for the International Baccalaureate and enjoys developing and leading professional development opportunities for teachers. She is a Seattle native and is excited to be back home in the Pacific Northwest. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, reading, sewing and being in the outdoors.
