Jacqueline has been a classroom teacher since 2017. This is her first year at The Meridian School and she is excited to learn and lead alongside her third grade class! She is originally from Colorado, but has taught in elementary classrooms in Botswana, Australia, China, and Thailand. Jacqueline most recently taught second grade for two years at The American School of Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to Thailand, Jacqueline taught second, third, and fourth grade for three years at an international school in Beijing, China. In addition to her classroom experience teaching English language learners, Jacqueline also has four years of experience teaching environmental stewardship and outdoor education in Colorado. Jacqueline is trained in Project Learning Tree, Cambridge Assessment English, Cambridge Assessment International Education, Bridges in Mathematics, Responsive Classroom, and Project-Based Learning. Jacqueline believes the best learning happens through rich hands-on experiences and real world application. She fosters a lifelong love of learning in her classroom through empathy and trusting relationships. When not teaching her curious third graders, Jacqueline loves studying Chinese, teaching yoga, skiing, hiking, and planning her next travel adventures!
