Kelsey began her teaching career in the Mississippi Delta teaching high school biology. In 2011 she moved to St. Louis, MO and worked with teen programs at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Her work there focused on getting students outdoors and learning about ecology, ecosystems, urban gardening, and environmental leadership. Looking to expand her knowledge of elementary education, she came to The Meridian School in 2014 as a program intern. Throughout the year she worked in all grade-level classrooms and with the customized learning program, and developed strong relationships with the faculty, staff, and students. Kelsey has found her dream job in the science program manager position, exploring the natural world and science phenomena with students to develop a strong sense of wonder, enjoyment of science, and the critical thinking skills that shape our future global citizens.
