Kennedy White

-B.A. in Communication from Western Washington University
-M.Ed. from Antioch University
-With The Meridian School since 2014

As a private music teacher since 2003, Kennedy White has worked with learners of many ages and backgrounds, from pre-kindergartners learning how to play the ukulele to teaching adult learners double bass jazz improvisation techniques. From this love of teaching music, he was inspired to bring this excitement for learning to the regular classroom and obtained his Master in Education from Antioch University and in the process created his own curriculum for integrating and aligning music theory with math.

Kennedy brings his infectious excitement for music and learning to fourth grade by teaching students how to write their own music, create their own games, and take charge of their learning through a variety of individualized, high-interest projects. When not wearing any number of hats around Meridian, Kennedy enjoys playing board games, writing music, and teaching himself how to play new instruments.
