Nimisha has over 14 years of experience in education including initiating new curriculum models to support the best practices, collaborating with educators across the world to co-found an international school, and leading professional development focused on the whole-child approach. Her passion for hands-on and inquiry-based learning has led her to get trained in project-based learning and creating transdisciplinary curricula. Her work with children of ages 3 to 18 includes teaching, leading affinity groups, doing research groups, and mentoring students. She believes that children thrive the best when they feel valued, seen, and belonged.
Nimisha serves on various committees of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) and leads affinity groups at various community organizations. She occasionally teaches graduate-level classes offered for the Master of Education program and enjoys working with the teachers to empower them to positively impact the lives of many children.
Nimisha enjoys exploring new places with her family, gardening with her husband, and learning basketball from her teenage daughter. In her leisure time, you will find Nimisha either practicing capoeira, crocheting beanies, or learning a new language.
