Raymond Larsen is a freelance trumpet player, composer, and bandleader who has shared his music across the globe. Ray is an active member of Seattle’s improvised music scene and is widely recognized as one of the region’s most influential trumpeters. Ray has released over a dozen albums as a leader and co-leader, and lent his sound to a multitude of other projects. He is signed to the record label Table & Chairs, and received the industry-nominated Earshot Golden Ear Award for Emerging Artist of the Year in 2015.

In addition to his role at the Meridian School, Ray currently serves on the faculty of Cornish College of the Arts. Raymond is a passionate music educator who’s worked extensively as a private instructor, on the faculty at Seattle JazzED, and as a clinician for middle school, high school and college programs across the Northwest.
