Rebecca moved to Seattle in 2011 to study theater at Cornish College of the Arts. She found a passion for working with young students through an extended day position at another Seattle independent school and eventually became a classroom teacher, spending a year in a multi-age 4th/5th grade classroom and another year in a K/1st grade classroom. In 2018, she enrolled in Western Governors University’s teacher certification program, from which she graduated in 2020 after completing her student teaching at The Meridian School. Rebecca has received training in working with students who experience learning through diverse modalities (Wired for Reading, UW Autism Symposium) and enjoys differentiating curriculum according to the unique needs of students. Outside of school, Rebecca is a proud cat mom and enjoys playing games with her friends. She is also an avid traveler, and is on a mission to visit each of the 50 states before 2030.
