Wendy began teaching in 1996. Before joining the faculty at Meridian, she taught in a diverse array of independent schools, both here in Seattle and nationally, that included traditional college-prep schools, gifted and talented programs, and schools with a focus on differentiated learning. She has taught students K–12 across disciplines, teaching math, science, art, and computers to name a few. Wendy has been trained in Wired for Reading, Handwriting Without Tears, and child development and social emotional learning, and has extensive knowledge of developmental differences and executive functioning support. Wendy has been a part of the community for years as a parent of two Meridian alumni. Please feel free to email Wendy if you have any questions regarding her family’s experience as members of Meridian’s community. When not at school, Wendy loves to nurture things in her garden, combine unexpected flavors in the kitchen, and build a one-match fire while camping.
