Emma holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Racial Justice in Urban Schooling, as well as a master’s degree in Elementary Education, both from the University of Minnesota. Before joining The Meridian School as a long-term 1st-grade substitute, Emma taught second and third grade in the Renton School District. She is passionate about encouraging individuality, identity, and social-emotional learning throughout the school day and creating spaces where students feel seen, valued, and empowered. Outside of the classroom, Emma enjoys practicing yoga, going on walks and hikes, traveling, playing volleyball, and spending time with family and friends.
