Jacqueline (she/her) has been a classroom teacher since 2017 and a proud member of The Meridian School community since 2022. Originally from Colorado, she has taught in elementary classrooms across Botswana, Australia, China, and Thailand. Before moving to Seattle, she spent three years teaching at an international school in Beijing, followed by two years teaching second grade at The American School of Bangkok. She also brings four years of experience in Colorado teaching environmental stewardship and outdoor education.
Jacqueline is trained in Project Learning Tree, Cambridge Assessment English and International Education, Bridges in Mathematics, Responsive Classroom, 95 Phonics, and Project-Based Learning. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English Language Learners, as well as an M.A. in Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, both from the University of Northern Colorado. She is certified in Elementary Education (K–6) and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (K–12).
Guided by the belief that the best learning comes from hands-on exploration and real-world application, Jacqueline fosters curiosity, empathy, and a lifelong love of learning in her classroom. Outside of school, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and planning her next travel adventure.
