Renee (she/her) has a BA in English, Spanish, and Education. She also has a MS in Gifted Education from Johns Hopkins University. Before joining Meridian in 2023, Renee previously taught at schools for students with language-based learning differences and gifted learners. Renee is a fierce believer in working to develop the whole child, and she enjoys serving students of all capabilities at the Meridian School. She has professional development training in Slingerland (a multi-sensory literacy approach), Words Their Way, Handwriting Without Tears, Reading and Writing Workshops, Upward Differentiation, Multi-Exceptional Learners, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Social-Emotional Learning.
When Renee isn’t teaching, she can be found curling up with a good book, Zillowing, baking sweet treats, or exploring the PNW (and beyond!) with her family and friends.
