Veronica “Ronnie” Codrington-Cazeau was named UPrep’s fifth head of school in 2020. With decades of experience in independent schools, Ronnie is known for her student-centered focus and her commitment to serving a diverse community. She also served as head of school at The Evergreen School in Seattle for the previous eight years. In addition, Ronnie has served in leadership and teaching positions at several private schools, including Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and The Park School in Brookline, Massachusetts.
As well as being on the NAIS Board, where she is currently the vice-chair, she is also an elected member of the Heads Collegiate Forum, and the chair of the Independent School Data Exchange (INDEX) board. Ronnie also served as one of the lead faculty members in the NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring Heads, a past President of the Elementary School Head’s Association and as a Past Chair of the NWAIS board.
